MYTH: The pipe being used for KXL will not be made in America.
FACT: Seventy-five percent of the pipe used to build the Keystone XL will come from North American mills – half of which will be made by U.S. workers in Arkansas. Goods for the pipeline valued at approximately $800 million have already been sourced from U.S. manufacturers. The remaining pipe will be procured from overseas sources largely because North American mills do not have the capacity to meet current demand for high grade pipe.
